Warming up at The Woodford Club

Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour

This week we welcomed girls from all over the region to participate in the PKBGT to qualify for the National Championship.

The Kentucky Regional Championship brought out some of the best golfers in the region. The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour, or PKBGT has a mission to help the future of girl’s golf. They want to ensure the future of the game by providing this tour, and they hope to increase participation and interest. They also want to provide an affordable, top level tournament to compete and develop players.

Some of their alumni are currently competing at the highest level…”including current LPGA Tour players Katherine Perry Hamski, Jennifer Chang, Lauren Coughlin and Allison Emrey. Additionally, over 25 alumna are competing on the LPGA Symetra Tour, the proving ground for those looking to make the LPGA. In the first 14 years of the tour, over 1,400 PKBGT members have gone on to play women's collegiate golf.”

Although we are just one stop on the tour, we are happy to be a part of these golfers’ journey.
