MORE ABOUT JUNIOR GOLF

Here at The Woodford Club, we pride ourselves on being inclusive. Whether you’ve been playing golf since you took your first steps, or are just getting started, we are here to help you!

Through our Junior Golf programs we teach youth the importance of the game. Our goal is not only to teach them lessons in golf, but also how those skills can transfer off the course.

The program, ran by PGA Certified Professional Bob Baldassari, touches on many important aspects of the game.

“We are passionate about using the game of golf to help kids learn and enjoy all the benefits that the game brings on many levels, including physical health, life skills, mental development and social interaction,” Baldassari said. “We are creating multiple pathways to achieve our goals for kids to get into the game of golf, and stay in the game at The Woodford Club.”

Our Junior Golf League includes two age divisions: 13u (ages 7-13) and 17u (ages 14-17). PGA Jr. League is bringing friends, families, and communities together through golf. Our coaches and professionals are passionate about the sport, and passionate about their players.

“Every kid is different and learns on different levels. Teaching golf is a deeply rewarding experience for many reasons because it allows instructors to make a positive impact on others' lives, that can last a lifetime. The combination of personal fulfillment, professional growth, and the opportunity to contribute to the sport and community makes it a unique and rewarding profession,” Baldassari said.

As someone who has been in the field his whole life, Baldassari said building relationships as a coach and mentor often last a lifetime. It’s just one reason why he’s excited to see the programs grow here at The Woodford Club.

“We absolutely want to grow and expand our youth golf programs and activities based off the strong foundation built over the past year. It's a win-win situation that promotes the sport, enriches lives, and strengthens our community.  Using our The Woodford Club Foundation as a vehicle to help introduce more and more kids of all backgrounds to the game is integral to our vision for a vibrant, inclusive and welcoming golf facility for people of all ages and abilities.”
